Golfer Paige Spiranac breaking the Internet?

There is more to Paige Spiranac than her collection of stunning Instagram photos, but it’s the reason the golfing beauty is breaking the Internet.

Spiranac recently graduated from San Diego University, where her college team won the Mountain West Conference Golf Championship.

The woman from Monument, Colorado, has the swing to match the hype surrounding her.

The self-confessed fitness addict has her eyes set on earning her spot on the LPGA Tour alongside the best female golfers in the world.

Despite only just finishing her university degree in communications, the 22-year-old has 85,000 followers on Instagram.

After one day on Twitter, she already has more than 1,100 followers.

    Here’s why:

Spiranac first became a star in the United States when her college golf team’s trick shots video went viral.

The SDSU women’s golf team trick shots video on YouTube has more than 1.5 million views.

Spiranac was also an elite junior gymnast, training 38 hours a week to make the USA’s Olympic team, but decided to focus on golf.

“I absolutely love golf. It totally beats doing back handsprings on a 4-inch (balance) beam and defying death,” she once told The Gazette newspaper in Colorado Springs.

Last week she won the Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship at Raccoon Creek Golf Course and is continuing to build up her rankings points to book her spot on the LPGA Tour.
