Get to Know Hailey Clauson, One of Sports Illustrated's Newest Swimsuit Issue Cover Models
Other than the fact that she's gorgeous and seems to have misplaced her bikini top, you might not know too much about Sports Illustrated cover model Hailey Clauson — but we're guessing you want to. SEE IT: Hannah Davis Didn't Want to Wear Clothes on Her Cover, Either Clauson, a 20-year-old native of California, started in the modeling industry when she was only in her teens, signing a deal with Ford Models back in 2009. Since then, she's built up an impressive resume, appearing in countless fashion publications (like Vogue and Elle) and nearly as many ad campaigns (for brands such as Forever 21, Gucci and Dsquared2). Clauson has also walked the runways of fashion's hottest designers, including Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta and Diane Von Furstenberg, to name a few. But perhaps her biggest break came in 2015, when she appearing in that year's edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue — an opportunity so rare and exciting that Clauson's own grandmother went a little crazy when she got her hands on the issue: Now, she's one of three models to grace the 2016 issue's cover (along with MMA fighter Ronda Rousey and plus-size model Ashley Graham), and she's absolutely thrilled. "Words can't describe how grateful I am," she told her Instagram followers. "I have worked my butt off and never gave up on my dream!"
