Typically, ladies have the reputation of being catty -- but George Clooney is the one taking out the claws this time. The A-list actor opened up to Esquire magazine in the mag's December issue, and he had some tough words for fellow A-listers Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

Regarding Russell, Clooney re-hashed the stars' 2005 feud in which Crowe called Clooney a "Frank Sinatra wannabe." Ouch.

In the mag, Clooney says Crowe started a fight with him for no reason. The "Gravity" actor recalls: "He put out this thing saying, ‘George Clooney, Harrison Ford, and Robert De Niro are sellouts.' And I put out a statement saying, ‘He's probably right. And I'm glad he told us'....He really went after me. And so I sent him a note going, ‘Dude, the only people who succeed when two famous people are fighting is People magazine. What the f--k is wrong with you?'"

As for Leonardo, Clooney recalls playing basketball with the "Titanic" star in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico years ago and it not going over so well. The 52-year-old bachelor said that someone from DiCaprio's team was trash talking during the game.

Usually, Clooney stays pretty classy, but maybe he was just getting tired of all the Hollywood drama? He wouldn't be the only male star caught up in a cat fight.
