Gary Busey and Cheryl Tiegs join 'Sharknado 4' cast

The Syfy Network and production company The Asylum announced the cast for this summer's fourth installment of the "Sharknado" franchise on Wednesday. Gary Busey, Cheryl Tiegs and Tommy Davidson will join returning cast members Ian Ziering, David Hasselhoff and Ryan Newman.
Tara Reid will also return as April Wexler to reveal the outcome of the fan-voted #AprilLives or #AprilDies campaign.
In keeping with the "Sharknado" franchise's inspired casting, Busey will play Tara Reid's father, Wilford Wexler, a brilliant robotics scientist, and Davidson will play Aston Reynolds, a "playboy tech billionaire," according to Syfy. Imani Hakim, Cody Linley and Masiela Lusha are also joining the cast of the silly sequel.

Sharknado 4 will take place five years after the events of "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" Currently filming, it's directed by Anthony C. Ferrante from a script by Thunder Levin. More "outrageous and surprising" cameos will be announced before the movie's July air date.
"Sharknado 4" does not yet have an official subtitle, but may we suggest: "Sharknado 4: Sharkpocaplyse," or "Sharknado 4: Death From Above and Below" or "Sharknado 4: Getting Too Old for This Shark?"
