Frankie Ballard secretly weds Christina Murphy

Frankie Ballard is a married man. The country singer and guitarist posted to social media on Sunday to announce that he had married Christina Murphy.

The 34-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist married Murphy and posted a joyous picture to Instagram showing them leaving the ceremony together, both beaming, with him dressed in a formal tuxedo and her in a beautiful white wedding dress.

“Someday baby, You’ll accomp’ny me…and that day is today! @oldsmokeysboots has become my wife,” Ballard captioned the photo.

According to the bio on her professional website, Christina was born in Texas, and grew up playing with her sister in the stockroom of a business her parents ran in Austin. She spent a decade trying to make it as an actress in Los Angeles before asking God to reveal a new path where she could express herself authentically. That’s when her boot company, Old Smokeys Boots, was born.

According to IMDB, her acting credits include an appearance in Blake Shelton‘s video for “Goodbye Time,” as well as a supporting role in the ABC Family movie "Campus Confidential." She guested alongside Michael Vartan in the ABC series "Big Shots," and Sounds Like Nashville reports that she also appeared in Ballard’s video for “Helluva Life.”

Ballard’s current single is “You’ll Accomp’ny Me,” a Bob Seger cover from his most recent studio album, El Rio. His wedding comes as a surprise, as the couple had not previously announced that they were engaged.
