The parents of a missing 27-year-old hotshot Hollywood visual effects producer who worked on "The Avengers" and "X-Men" suspect their son is the victim of foul play.

Eric Kohler was last seen on Nov. 24, when he left work without his wallet and laptop. Police say he drove his new black Range Rover from his office in Gardena, Calif. and never made it home.

The Kohlers insisted to "Good Morning America" that it is unlike their son to just take off without telling anyone

“He would never just throw it away," his mother, Sheryi Kohler, said in an interview.

“He works so hard,” his father added.

“He loves his job…" said Sheryi Kohler. "He’s ambitious. It’s a living nightmare. It’s the hardest thing to ever go through.”

Authorities in Los Angeles County have been searching for Kohler, who has also worked on the blockbuster “San Andreas,” the critically acclaimed “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” and the highly anticipated Leonardo DiCaprio film “The Revenant.”

KTLA reported his cell phone records show he went to a Food 4 Less, but then his phone was shut off.

His family has been promoting the hashtag #FindKohler on social media in order to spread word of his disappearance.

Kohler is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds, with straight brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light-blue collared shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
