Normally the adult cartoon series “Family Guy” crafts its plotlines by mirroring buzzed about pop culture moments and mocking them relentlessly. But when it comes to the Caitlyn Jenner news, it seems “Family Guy” was way ahead of its time.
A clip from 2009 has resurfaced in which “Family Guy” characters Stewie and Brian discuss Bruce Jenner, who made headlines this week with a Vanity Fair cover revealing a new identity and name—Caitlyn Jenner.

In the years-old episode, Stewie says that Bruce Jenner gave birth to Brody Jenner.
“Bruce Jenner is a man,” Brian tells Stewie.
“No, Brian,” Stewie replies. “That’s what the press would have you believe, but he’s not. Bruce Jenner is a woman—an elegant, beautiful Dutch woman.”

Aside from the Dutch part, “Family Guy” creators pretty much predicted the news that would come years later, as Jenner revealed plans to fully transition into a woman this April in an interview with Diane Sawyer.
Jenner’s transition will be the subject of a new docu-series on E!, titled “I Am Cait.”
