Metal legends Motley Crue are winding down their farewell tour, so founding member and bass player Nikki Sixx is getting ready to rev up his other band, Sixx:A.M., for a headlining tour of their own.
To showcase Sixx:A.M.'s live chops, Sixx and the band other members -- singer James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba -- did a live video for their latest single, 'Stars,' premiering exclusively on FOX411. It was their first live performance together in five years.

"What's exciting for me about the 'Stars' video is the fact that it is live," Sixx told FOX411. "I think it shows the quality of the band's musicianship and a little snapshot into what we're about live considering we will be touring in April of 2015.”
Michael says the song has always been one of his favorites.
"When we wrote 'Stars' we knew it was going to be a great song to perform live, so when it came time to make the video it was obvious that a live performance video would really capture it's spirit!" he said. "We're very excited about releasing our video for 'Stars'."
'Stars' is the first track on Sixx:A.M.'s third album, 'Modern Vintage.'
