Anthony Nelson is one lucky high schooler.
The 19-year-old Michigan student sent “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada a tweet inviting her to his West Bloomfield High School. It was a chance message to a reality TV star that she could have easily ignored.
But she didn’t.
The sexy Puerto Rican, who divorced NFL star Chad Johnson last year, decided to take the teen up on his offer – particularly since she’d never been to a prom before.
“I couldn’t attend my prom when I was in high school because I was pregnant with my daughter Shaniece, but this was such an awesome experience and I was so honored,” Lozada wrote on her blog.
Lozada wore a tight red dress with a plunging neckline, leaving very little to the imagination. And the 37-year-old seemed to have a blast at the prom, which was Thursday night, and even admired the corsage her date bought her.
“I’ve never had a corsage! You guys don’t understand how HAPPY I was!!” Lozada wrote. My date was decked out in a custom-made tuxedo and black Chanel shoes looking as handsome as ever.”
The two then went to dinner at Coach Insignia, a Detroit restaurant that claims to offer “breathtaking views from the top of the GM Renaissance Center.”
Lozada made news last year after she and her then-husband had a spat that landed him in jail and left her with a three-inch gash on her forehead. She later filed for divorce claiming that her marriage was "irretrievably broken."
Lozada, who made a name for herself on the VH1 show “Basketball Wives,” has a shoe boutique in Miami and is launching a make-up and beauty line called “E” by Evelyn Lozada.
