Elvis Presley's Bible well exceeds auction estimate, but his unwashed undies do not

Elvis' bible was a hot property at a weekend auction of his memorabilia in merry old England.

Elvis' dirty underwear, not so much.

The King of Rock 'n Roll's well worn bible, used from 1957 until his death 20 years later, commanded $94,600, almost double the auction house's estimate. It included hand-written notes scribbled in the margins.

His unwashed and apparently soiled (!) underwear, worn under his iconic white jumpsuit in a 1977 concert, failed to meet the $11,000 minimum bid.

Which means there is a God.
