You know Kym Johnson as one of the pros on “Dancing with the Stars” helping celebs with two left feet glide across the dance floor. Now she has a fitness DVD “5678 Fitness” fusing her love of dance and cardio. She spoke with FOX411 about her toughest partners, and dating “Shark Tank’s” Robert Herjavec even after the cameras stopped rolling.
FOX411: Seventeen seasons of “DWTS.” How did you get discovered?
Kym Johnson: It’s a long time, isn’t it, 17 seasons? I did the show in Australia before I came here. I did three seasons of the show here and then I got a phone call from some producers in America saying they want me on the show and I thought, “My gosh, I’ve made it! I’m going to the States. I’m going to have some big Hollywood movie star.” I turn up and I walk in the door and there’s Jerry Springer.

FOX411: Was Jerry Springer your toughest contestant?
Johnson: He was the nicest. He’s still one of my dearest friends. He was great. He may not have been the greatest dancer I’ve ever had. America got to see another side of him, and that’s the greatest thing about "Dancing with the Stars" you get to really know these celebrities and see them in a different light. So, I loved working with him. He’s one of my favorites.
FOX411: Who was your favorite?

Johnson: Donnie Osmond. I ended up winning with the Mirror Ball with him so that was pretty special. Joey Fatone was great. Obviously, Robert (Herjavec) was incredible and that was the 10th anniversary so that was really special. I had a few seasons off in between because I was judging the show back in Australia so I took off the dance shoes for a while and went back to judge the Australian show and didn’t really think I would come back, and then they called me to be a part of the 10th anniversary show and ended up getting Robert in, and it was great. He just loved it.
FOX411: There have been rumors that you and Robert are dating. I couldn’t help but notice he’s in New York the same time you are. Any truth to it?
Johnson: It’s a coincidence. We’re still dancing together. Yeah.

FOX411: So, it is possible to find love on ‘DTWS?’
Johnson: Of course it’s possible! Yeah.
FOX411: Tell us about your fitness DVD.

Johnson: A lot of people come up to me and say I would love to be on the show, and be a star so I could lose weight like the celebrities do. That’s what people notice about the show they see how much confidence they get as well but it’s mostly the transformation they have but of course they’re dancing for seven hours a day but everyone at home can achieve these goals. What I’ve done is create a workout DVD that has the dances with do with ‘DWTS’ and I’ve combined that with a cardio workout. So, you feel like you’re dancing but you’re getting a great workout.
FOX411: Some people say the costumes for females on “DWTS” are too risqué for primetime TV. What do you think of that?
Johnson: They might be a little bit short and you have fringe here and there but it’s fun. I think all of the dancers wear costumes on the show that suit their bodies. We all have different shapes on the show and we dress appropriately to our body types.
