Cornelius was the host of 'Soul Train' from 1971 until 1993.
Don Cornelius, television personality and the creator of “Soul Train” was found dead in his home in Sherman Oaks, California Wednesday morning, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times. He was 75. According to the Times, law enforcement sources arrived at the home of Cornelius, shortly after 4 a.m. Sources told the Times that Cornelius died of a gunshot wound to the head, which appeared to be self-inflicted.
