DJ Alex Sensation and Johnnie Walker have made history.

The Colombian DJ, whose real name is Javier Alexander Salazar, was named the first Hispanic spokesperson for the Black Label in the Tri-State area.

Alex Sensation and Johnnie Walker celebrated the announcement Tuesday night at Latin Quarters, a nightclub in New York City.

Considered one of the most influential Latinos in the New York/New Jersey Latino community, the DJ was still in disbelief that he was the chosen one.

“I’m still in shock that they chose me,” he told Fox News Latino.

Known for his work in the New York City-based radio station “La Mega 97.9 FM,” the DJ credits his hard work for his success. Alex Sensation believes that's part of what got him noticed by the Whisky giant.

“They’ve been following me throughout my entire career,” said Alex Sensation, who puts on countless shows in clubs and events throughout the Big Apple.

Besides the new partnership with Johnnie Walker, Alex Sensation has embarked on his journey to become a television personality.

“I am going to be doing a lot more television now,” he said. “That is something Black Label has also been following me with.”

As the DJ enjoys the fruits of his labor he urges other Latinos who wish to follow in his footsteps to never give up.

“Work hard and dream big,” Alex sensation said. “Don’t let anyone get in your way.”
