David Beckham's biggest regret: Cornrows

If you thought David Beckham’s biggest regret is the time he wore a sarong, you’re very wrong.

You’re clearly forgetting the time he had cornrows.

Appearing on "The Graham Norton Show," he’s revealed all about his different hairstyles — and admits they weren’t always good decisions.

“Some of them have been really bad,” he said.

“I hadn’t thought them through. The topknot wasn’t too bad but the cornbraids were a bad decision.”

“It was bad timing as well as I was going to South Africa at the time with England and ended up meeting Nelson Mandela so that’s why I regret that one.”

Then there was the mohawk that almost got him fired before a big match at Wembley Stadium.

“I don’t know why I had that one,” he said.

“I was in the dressing room with an hour to go before kick off when Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United manager) saw it and made me shave it off.

“I said no at first and then I saw his face change very quickly so I went and shaved it off in the toilet. He was very strict.”

There are more hairstyles that he didn’t mention — but we’re sure he regrets them too.

He also revealed Victoria doesn’t style him as much as people think.

“Obviously she’s my wife so I ask her opinion and sometimes I listen — well most of the time I listen — and sometimes I don’t,” he said.
