Cuba Gooding Jr. pulled a page out of Kanye West's playbook when he rushed the stage at the end of Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards show.

But instead of telling Taylor Swift she was undeserving of an award, as West did at the Grammys a few years back, Gooding Jr. merely wanted to remind the nation of Monday's holiday.

"Happy MLK!" Gooding Jr. yelled, grabbing the mic from the night's surprised emcee, Ben Affleck. "Happy MLK Weekend!"

And with that, the credits rolled.

Gooding Jr. was on hand to support "Lee Daniels' The Butler," which was nominated for three SAG awards.

He won his own SAG in 1996 for "Jerry Maguire."
