Cote de Pablo is returning to TV for the CBS miniseries "The Dovekeepers," TVGuide.com has learned.
Based on Alice Hoffman's historical novel, the four-hour miniseries tells the true story of 900 Jews who were entrenched in a fortress at the mountain Masada in 70 C.E. For months, the Jews managed to hold out against the massive Roman armies.

De Pablo will play Shirah, one of four women whose lives intersect in the fight for survival. Shirah is a sensual and independent single mother who quietly practices the forbidden rites of magic. While she is derided as the "Witch of Moab," those who need help never hesitate to approach her.
This project reunites de Pablo with CBS after she starred as Ziva David on "NCIS" for eight years until her shocking exit in 2013.
"The Dovekeepers," from executive producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, will air in 2015.
