Christie Brinkley is continuing to turn heads at age 64.
The model-turned-entrepreneur opened up to Fox News about her interests aside from modeling, and she revealed why working with Sports Illustrated has been one of the best “adventures” of her career.
“I am so lucky alive to be alive in this day and age,” Brinkley told Fox News under the glimmering white tents of her Social Life Magazine cover party in Bridgehampton, New York, on Saturday.

Clad in a short, long sleeve floral cocktail dress by Zimmerman, Brinkley credited her healthy diet for her age-defying looks.
“I am a life-long vegetarian, so my diet is really, really good and I think your attitude plays a huge role too,” she mused.
Brinkley may be best known for her sexy snapshots.

She was the first model to grace the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue three consecutive times in 1979, 1980 and 1981. She gushed about her memories of shooting for the iconic brand.
“My Sports Illustrated adventures have been some of my favorites in my modeling career,” Brinkley revealed. “It’s very hard to explain that feeling and the teamwork that happens and being in the most beautiful places, with the most beautiful light and being outdoors from when the sun comes up to when the sun sets… Working for Sports Illustrated is like you are outdoors looking for beauty the whole time… Working with a team and trying to create a beautiful image – it’s really special.”
Brinkley recently stripped down to appear in the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue with her daughters Alexa Ray Joel and Sailor Brinkley Cook. She said she loved sharing the experience with her children.

And when she’s not modeling for the famous mag, she is working for them. Brinkley served as a judge for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit casting call. She teamed up with Kate Upton, Hailey Clauson and Kate Bock for the gig.
“It was great!” she said enthusiastically. “We met a lot of great girls during the process.”
The mother of three recently launched a new beauty line, which she said was inspired by her own experiences aging and her love of science.

“I really am so interested in science and all that it can offer you. So, my skincare line is the latest that science has to offer and I am so pleased that nowadays, you can choose how you want to age. I am excited that I have products that you let you build your own collagen and elastic,” the Brinkley Beauty founder said.
“When you’re my age – your body used to create collagen and elastic, but at a certain age it slows down," she added. "So, you have to discover ways to signal your body to behave the way it used too.”
The elegant Hamptons soiree which honored Brinkley’s recent magazine cover also celebrated the star’s new line of organic line of sparkling wines, Bellissima Prosecco.

“I had the opportunity to make a prosecco that is organic [and] vegan, and one of my expressions is ‘zero sugar.’ So I mean, I just jumped at the chance,” Brinkley said. “It’s better for you, your body and our planet and I am really, really proud of that.”
But at the end of the day, the model, mother and entrepreneur said that she tries not to place so much emphasis on work and aims to simply enjoy life.
“People have got to stop and celebrate life and enjoy it and live it up! And that is the fountain of youth,” Brinkley said. “The secret to a great life is gratitude. If you can be grateful at any given moment that is the secret to being happy -- just positive thinking.”
