"Breaking Bad" actor Steven Michael Quezada is going back to his former school.

Quezada is scheduled to return to Eastern New Mexico University on Monday for a comedy act. The show is a kickoff event for the university's Hispanic Heritage Month.

The 51-year-old actor says the three years he spent at the school helped him as a writer and later as a stand-up comedian.

"Breaking Bad," which ended last year and was filmed in Albuquerque, followed former high school teacher Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston. White produced methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul.

Quezada, currently a board member of Albuquerque Public Schools, played federal drug agent Steven Gomez on the show.
