Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora was planning to check into a rehab facility to deal with an alcohol problem, RadarOnline reported Thursday.
Sambora, 52, was taking a break to dry out and recover from exhaustion following a long tour that took in Mexico, Canada, Spain, Brazil, New Zealand and Australia last year.
The band will begin another run of dates April 30 in New Orleans that will take in America and Europe, but it was unclear whether Sambora would be available for those shows.

Sambora spent a month in the Cirque Lodge rehabilitation clinic in Utah in 2007 following his divorce from Heather Locklear and the death of his father from lung cancer within nine days of each other.
"Richie recently has been drinking too much and wants to get his life together," a source told RadarOnline.
A friend of the musician said, "I think this was a culmination of all the things that overloaded his life, and finally he realized he needed to take care of himself."
