ormer “Bachelorette” Andi Dorfman is single in the city but isn’t looking for Mr. Right just anywhere.
Earlier this year the Atlanta native split from fiancée Josh Murray — whom she met on Season 10 of ABC’s reality competition show — and packed her bags for a new life in NYC.
“My girlfriends always tell me that the dating game is just insane here [in New York],” Dorfman explained at the Primark US launch party hosted by Emily Ratajkowski and Refinery 29 on Wednesday.
“Women in this city are ambitious and they go after what they want and that bleeds over to the dating world.”
The 28-year-old former attorney is ready to meet a man who will let her be her “opinionated self,” but doesn’t think she’ll find him on the screen of her Smartphone.
“I haven’t done the apps. I did reality television and I think that was my guilty pleasure,” explained Dorfman. “Sometimes I think the apps are really superficial. I just don’t think I can swipe on somebody based off a five-second photo glance.”
And if the TV star were to go after another celeb, her list is quite short: “Liam Hemsworth is my celebrity crush all day long and Chace Crawford any day of the week — twice on Sunday.”
While no stranger to fame, Dorfman’s new address in one of Manhattan’s toniest neighborhoods, the West Village, has left her unexpectedly starstruck.
“I saw Sarah Jessica Parker walking her kids to school right in front of my house and my jaw went to the pavement,” she admitted. “I was frozen. Being a single girl in New York, you can’t help but fan-girl out to [SJP]. She’s the epitome of single girl in the city.”
“I’m fan-girling thinking about her now,” added Dorfman.
