Ariana Grande shares text messages from Blake Shelton joking she'll replace him on 'The Voice'
Grande replaced Nick Jonas a judge on the show for season 21.

Ariana Grande shared a screenshot of a Blake Shelton text that joked she was going to replace him as a judge on "The Voice," dropping it into a recent Instagram post.
Shelton, 45, had sent Grande, 28, an OK Magazine article headlined, "Producers at ‘The Voice’ may replace Blake Shelton after Ariana Grande brings fresh energy."
"Thanks a lot, Ari… Thanks a f--king lot…" Shelton wrote in his text message exchange with Grande.

Grande reacted to Shelton's message with a heart.

Shelton reacted to the news by saying he was looking forward to a challenge after beating Jonas as a voice coach.
"The easiest defeat of my career was Nick Jonas," Shelton said at the time, according to People magazine. "So I'm looking for a challenge. I think Ariana could be a challenge. I'm looking forward to beating her though."

The country music star has had seven wins as a coach of the show.

Grande said she was "honored" to join the cast of "The Voice."
