Another Hollywood marriage bites the dust.

Melanie Griffith has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years, Antonio Banderas, citing irreconcilable differences.

Several outlets are reporting the 56-year-old actress filed divorce documents Friday at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

In a statement from their rep, the couple confirmed their split saying, “We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together.”

The news comes a day after Griffith attended the red carpet event at the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala honoring Jane Fonda on Thursday without Banderas, 53. She appeared to still be wearing her wedding rings.

TMZ, who first reported the filing, said the decision to end their marriage was “amicable.” Griffith seeks spousal support and physical custody and visitation for Banderas of their daughter Stella, who is just a few months shy of turning 18.

The couple, who have been the center of break up rumors for many years, first got together after meeting on the set of the 1995 film “Two Much.” They married in May 1996.

This divorce marks the fourth for Griffith, who was married to Steve Bauer and twice to Don Johnson. She had a son Alexander, 28, with Bauer and daughter with Johnson, Dakota Johnson, 24, who will star in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Banderas has been married twice. He divorced from first wife, Spanish actress Ana Leza, in 1996 after nine years together.

Banderas in recent years has served as the voice of the animated character Puss in Boots in the "Shrek" films and starred in Pedro Almodovar's two most recent films, "The Skin I Live In" and "I'm So Excited!"

Griffith was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the 1998 film "Working Girl." She has recently turned to television work, guest-starring in the series "Hawaii Five-0," ''Hot in Cleveland" and "Raising Hope."
