Disturbing text messages allegedly exchanged between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s assistant suggest the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star had become violent even before their marriage.
“When I told him he kicked you, he cried,” Depp’s assistant Stephen Deuters allegedly texted Heard in May 2014, according to “Entertainment Tonight.” “It was disgusting. And he knows it.”
Heard replied that it wasn’t the first time he’d behaved that way.
“He’s done this many times before,” she texted. “Tokyo, the island, London (remember that?!), and I always stay. Always believe he’s going to get better . . . And then every 3 or so month [sic], I’m in the exact same position.”
Screen shots of the unsettling text exchange were obtained by “ET” — and a source identified those involved as being Deuters and Heard, claiming they were discussing Depp.
At the start of the conversation, Deuters allegedly passes along an apology from Depp, insisting, “He wants to get better now. He’s been very explicit about that this morning. Feel like we’re at a critical juncture.”
But Heard wasn’t having it at the time, replying, “Yes but I don’t know how to be around him after what he did to me yesterday. I don’t know if I can stay with him.”
She goes on to say that Depp “has no idea what he did.” “If someone was truly honest with him about how bad it really was, he’d be appalled,” she said.
Meanwhile, photos published by People magazine purport to show Heard, 30, with a bruised eye and bloody lip after Depp, 52, allegedly attacked her last December.
A close friend of the actress has told The Post that Depp attempted to smother Heard with a pillow that day, leaving her afraid for her life.
“I got to her apartment to find her with a cut and bruised lip, a swollen eye and a chunk of hair missing from the top of her head,” the friend said of the incident.
