NBC weatherman Al Roker has apologized for snapping a smiling selfie — in front of devastation caused by catastrophic weather in South Carolina.
The meteorologist tweeted a photo of himself and NBC colleagues wearing slickers and grinning in front of a portion of collapsed highway and a wrecked car.
“My crew and I getting ready to report on East Coast flooding from S. Carolina on @NBCNightlyNews with Kate Snow,” the shot was the captioned.

Roker apologized and deleted the pic after he was called out by others on Twitter for being insensitive.
“Absolutely correct. I apologize for being insensitive. The woman in that car got out without injury. We Should not have been in the picture,” he tweeted.
“We came down to report and I offended those who lost so much. I am sorry,” the climatologist added.
