Ainsley Earhardt named as new 'FOX & Friends' co-host

Ainsley Earhardt is the new co-host of “FOX & Friends.”
Chairman and CEO of FOX News Roger Ailes announced on Tuesday the “FOX & Friends FIRST” co-host will join cable news’ highest-rated morning program alongside hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade.
“Ainsley’s relentless work ethic, congeniality and enthusiasm for connecting with our viewers and staff are extremely refreshing,” Ailes said. “She’s a superb team player and an excellent on-air host – we look forward to her joining the show during such a pivotal news year.”

Earhardt, who is taking over for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, will make her debut on the show on Feb. 29, 2016.
“I am grateful for this opportunity and am thrilled to join Steve and Brian on the curvy couch to deliver Americans their morning news,” Earhardt said in a statement.
Earhardt has been at FOX News Channel since 2007. Before joining the network, she worked as an anchor for KENS-TV (CBS) in San Antonio, Texas and WLTX-TV (CBS) in Columbia, SC.
