Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie in the 1983 holiday classic "A Christmas Story," is engaged, Us Weekly reports.

Billingsley, 44, will marry his girlfriend, Buffy Bains, a graduate of Southern Methodist University who filmed a promotional video for Chicago Young Republicans in 2010. There's no word on whether the actor will wear a bunny suit to the ceremony.

Billingsley's recent movie credits include "Elf," "Iron Man" and "The Break-Up." He also works as a producer and has executive-produced such films as "Iron Man" and "Couples Retreat." In addition, he was an executive producer of "A Christmas Story: The Musical!" in 2010.
