Toby used his backstage press time at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards to publicly air his grievences calling Ethan a liar, Rolling Stone "superficial," and claiming that Ethan didn't name him because he didn't want to "deal with the aftermath." It all started at club Plumm when Axl allegedly moved a drink belonging to Tommy's girlfriend, Dee Ocleppo. According to the singer, Tommy began smacking him and demanded he move the drink back. Axl performed later that night dedicating the song "You're Crazy" to "my good friend Tommy Hilfiger."
