Lyft driver charged with animal cruelty after tossing dog in brawl: report

A Lyft driver caught on camera throwing a dog into the air during a road rage brawl has reportedly been hit with animal cruelty charges.
Marc Dione, of Montclair, N.J., was allegedly captured on video reaching into a man’s car and hurling his dog onto the sidewalk after the two tangled in the street, according to NJ.com.

The New Jersey SPCA Humane Police then filed animal cruelty charges against Dione, the site said.
The 12-year-old miniature pinscher, Daphne, has reportedly survived the nerve-wracking toss.
“Despite some bruises and stress resulting from this traumatic event, Daphne is recovering well,” the NJSPCA said a the release.

Lyft told NJ.com that Dione has been “permanently deactivated” and will never be able to use the service again.
