Talk about layering.

High-end outdoor clothing and accessories outfitter Filson has designed a custom version of American Expedition Vehicle (AEV) Brute Double Cab, which is in turn a custom pickup version of the Jeep Wrangler.

Built on a stretched frame, AEV adds a 61x60-inch bed to the four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited’s cab to create something not currently available from Jeep.

Along with the new body style, the Brute gets a laundry list of off-road upgrades from AEV, including a suspension lift kit, skid plate, auxiliary lighting, winch, heat reduction hood and 35-inch tires.

While standard Brutes are powered by Jeep’s 3.6-liter V6, the Filson edition comes with the optional 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and is finished in a unique forest green paint.

Interior modifications include Filson dry finish tin cloth and leather upholstery, and available buckle closure sacks in place of the rear seats. A pair of the company’s Rugged Twill tote bags also come with each truck.

This is the first time Filson has teamed up with an automaker of any type and the limited edition vehicle is on sale now on a built-to-order basis for a starting price fitting of the brand of $130,000.
