Danica Patrick to take on Sonic the Hedgehog in new video game

She may be a honey badger behind the wheel, but Danica Patrick will be going head to head with a hedgehog in her next on-track endeavor.

At the e3 convention in Los Angeles today, Sega announced that the NASCAR driver will be available as a downloadable character in its upcoming multi-platform game “Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.”

Patrick’s avatar wasn’t revealed at the event, but her real-life car will be sponsored by the game during the November 7th Nationwide series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The video game features Sonic and friends racing vehicles that transform from cars to boats and flying machines through fantastical lands, none of which appear to be a paved oval track.
