The all-new Altima is the same size as the car it replaces, but has been redesigned with Nissan's new corporate face, more elegant details and a sleeker roofline than before. Four and six-cylinder versions will be available at a starting price of $21,500, with the smaller engine putting out 182 hp and delivering a midsize class-leading 38 mpg on the highway, while the 270 V6 will be good for 30 mpg. The cabin gets a clean, modern design finished with higher grade materials and trim than the outgoing car, plus a new infotainment system with standard Bluetooth, Pandora integration and hands-free texting capabilities. "Zero gravity" seats were inspired by NASA research and are designed to promote a neutral posture that decreases pressure points and improves blood flow, lessening fatigue on long trips. The 2013 Altima hits showrooms in July.
