Chevy is bringing some muscle to the NASCAR Nationwide series next year when it introduces its all-new Camaro race car at the season opening race in Daytona.

The car moves away from the template formula of the current Chevy Impala, and incorporates strong cues taken from the production Camaro, including a power bulge hood, recessed grille and halo-style headlamps on its front decal. (Chevrolet)
The Camaro will join the existing Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger entries in the series in a three-way pony car war, with Toyota's Camry the only holdout from the old family sedan based formula.
