Ford is revamping its seven-passenger people carrier for the 2013 model year. Along with a mild redesign, the 3.5-liter V6 that powers the base Flex gets a 20 hp bump in output to 282 hp and a 1 mpg increase in highway fuel economy to 25 mpg.![2013 Ford Flex]()

The second row seats of the Flex can now be fitted with an optional seatbelt airbag system than inflates the belts in an accident, softening the blow to the torsos of passengers. Other safety features include adaptive cruise control and a blind spot information system.![2013 Ford Flex]()
The interior remains largely the same, but the Flex is now available with an optional self-parking feature and the latest version of the MyFord Touch infotainment system, which lets drivers use a touch screen, buttons on the steering wheel and voice commands to control everything from the stereo and navigation to the air conditioning.![2013 Ford Flex]()
For the 2013 model year, MyFord Touch has been redesigned with easier to use screens and faster operation.
