A cat in the U.K. likely gave up one of its nine lives, surviving a spin in the washing machine, according to its owner.

The Sun reported Thursday that the 9-month-old cat’s owners heard an unusually loud banging sound coming from the machine during the spin cycle.
“I rushed to the machine and could see the color of his fur mixed in with the quilt,” Lisa Keefe said. “I was petrified.”
She said the cat, named Bobby, was probably hiding under a blanket in the machine when she turned it on.
A vet said the animal would likely survive, but suffered from shock and needed IV fluids. The staff at Nottingham Pet Hospital also had to dry the cat.
Vet James Kellow said the cat spun around for about two minutes.
"Bobby has learned his lesson the hard way, he doesn't go anywhere near the washer any more," Keefe told the BBC.
