Man with knife slashes 3 children, killing 1 in southern China

BEIJING – A man wielding a knife has slashed three children in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, with state news agency Xinhua reporting one of the children has died.

The message on Xinhua's official Twitter account did not provide more details Monday.

China has suffered a series of knife attacks on children, mostly in schools. In May, a man with a knife wounded first- and second-graders at a school in central China.
