BEIRUT – Lebanon's state news agency says Israeli aircraft have carried out two airstrikes in eastern Lebanon near the Syrian border.
The Israeli military declined comment.
The National News Agency says the air raids took place late Monday near the village of Nabi Sheet in the Bekaa Valley.
A Lebanese army spokesman said they had no indication of any airstrikes in the area, but were investigating the reports.
The Lebanese Shiite militant Hezbollah group has a strong presence in the Bekaa Valley.
Israel has carried several airstrikes inside Syria to prevent advanced weaponry from being transferred to Hezbollah, a close ally of Damascus.
Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV said it could not confirm the strikes.
