MILAN – Police say a young American tourist has fallen to her death from a window overlooking rock cliffs in the Italian Riviera.
The tourist, identified as 20-year-old Kelly Rose Denman of Colorado, apparently fell out of the window of the room where she was staying in the Cinque Terre region of Italy early Saturday morning.
Police commander Francesco Villa said her body was found in the water midday Saturday after her friends alerted police to her disappearance. Villa said Monday the cause of death was drowning after falling 25-meters (80-feet) down a rocky cliff.
She had last been seen by a friend when they returned to the room from a night out.
