Tuesday, July 15, 2008

LAS VEGAS —  Nine players have won final table spots at the World Series of Poker main event and will compete for the title and $9.12 million in November.

Dean Hamrick was eliminated in the last hand early Tuesday when his ace-jack failed to beat the pocket queens of Craig Marquis.

The hand ended a marathon 11-hour, 40-minute session of play, excluding breaks.

Hamrick was eliminated in 10th place, winning $591,869.
