Nadal again reaches Wimbledon final

Friday, July 04, 2008

WIMBLEDON, England —  Rafael Nadal has set up a third straight Wimbledon final against five-time defending champion Roger Federer by beating Rainer Schuettler 6-1, 7-6 (3), 6-4 Friday.

Nadal has lost to Federer in the last two Wimbledon finals, but has beaten the top-ranked Swiss in three straight French Open finals. The second-ranked Nadal, who improved his winning streak to 23 matches, stretched Federer to five sets in last year's final at the All England Club.

Nadal is the first Spaniard to reach three Wimbledon finals. He is again trying to become the first man since Bjorn Borg in 1980 to win Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year.
