An Ohio mother is facing a felony charge after filming a Facebook Live video of her toddler taped to the wall, authorities said Thursday.
According to My Fox 26 Columbus, Shayla Rudolph, 18, of Reynoldsburg, streamed the 20-minute video of her 2-year-old son taped to the wall. Police viewed the video Wednesday and arrested the following day. The boy was put into child protective services.
In the video, the boy can be heard crying in the background and then it pans to the child being held on t the wall by packaging tape. It appeared the boy had his head and arms taped the wall and his mouth taped shut.
"Parents don't need to whoop the kids. All you gotta do is tape them to the wall,” Rudolph proclaims in the video.
Rudolph said in a separate video that she was contacted by Child Service’s on Jan. 5 and told the agency the video was a joke. In another live video, Rudolph told the audience that she heard from the agency and was disciplining her son by making him stand in the corner.
