The U.S. Coast Guard raced to rescue four fishermen and their dog Thursday after an explosion caught on video sent flames erupting in their boat off Georgia's Simons Island Sound.
Despite the massive fire, rescuers said nobody was hurt too badly. Crews said they got a mayday call shortly before 4 a.m., WCBD reported.
Investigators did not reveal what may have triggered the blast.
The fishermen were working on a 58-foot boat named Predator, the Coast Guard told the news station. The crew was trying to abandon ship before rescuers arrived.
Simons Island Sound is in Southeast Georgia, about 60 miles north of Jacksonville.
