At least three buildings collapsed Thursday and thousands of people were left without power after a severe storm hit New Orleans.

WDSU reported that the homes collapsed at around 4 p.m. local time, as heavy rain and high winds moved through the area. WVUE reported that two men sitting on the porch of one of the homes were injured and taken to a local hospital.

The storm produced wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour that knocked down power lines and trees across the metro New Orleans area. WGNO reported that 26,400 people were without power in Orleans Parish.

Several videos captured what appeared to be a funnel cloud over the city. There was no immediate confirmation of any tornado activity.
