Several homes in a neighborhood northwest of Tampa, Florida are in danger of being swallowed up by a "large hole" that opened up Monday, officials said.
The hole is located underneath a building in the Crest Ridge Gardens community in Holiday, Fla., Fox 13 reported.
"One house is in danger of falling into the hole. Other houses in area being evaluated," Pasco County Fire Rescue said in a statement.
Aerial images from the scene showed a large, gaping hole visible along the edge of a building.
A slab of pavement was dangling into the hole and officials had taped off the property and appeared to be assessing the scene.
