BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A small fire is causing problems for travelers at Birmingham's airport in Alabama.
A spokeswoman says the fire knocked out power in part of the lobby at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport on Friday morning.
No injuries are reported, but the outage meant travelers couldn't print their boarding passes before entering the concourse area. Airport officials asked passengers to print their passes at home or download them on a cellphone.
Airport spokeswoman Toni Herrera-Bast says the fire occurred in the ticket lobby for Delta and American Airlines. The cause isn't known.
