DETROIT – A 24-year-old Highland Park man has been charged with murder in the slaying of an ex-girlfriend who was found in the closet of a Detroit home.
The Detroit News reports that a video arraignment was held Sunday for Tyshawn Bost.
Detroit police found Tiris Doss Friday morning in a closet after authorities got a 911 call about family trouble and a cutting. The 21-year-old Doss suffered a neck wound.
Bost was arrested after officers heard someone trying to escape from the rear of the home.
A March 16 pre-trial hearing was set for Bost. A preliminary examination is scheduled for March 23.
The Detroit News says Bost is on parole until May 2017 after spending nearly five years in prison for home invasion and torturing or killing an animal.
