2 Chinese graduate students dead in NY domestic dispute identified

POTSDAM, N.Y. – Police have identified the Chinese graduate students who died after a domestic dispute at Clarkson University in upstate New York.

Police tell WPTZ-TV (http://bit.ly/1UKratB ) 31-year-old Tian Ma stabbed 24-year-old Yazhen Jiang on Thursday and then was shot by police.

Officers say Ma was on top of Jiang, stabbing her and himself when they arrived at the scene. Police say an officer shot Ma after he refused to drop the knife.

Ma died at the scene. Jiang was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Clarkson is in Potsdam, near the Canadian border.
