Coney Island’s Cyclone roller-coaster opened for the season Sunday morning and gave its first riders a real fright -- but for the wrong reason.
The famed wooden Luna Park ride didn’t even make it through its first run, stalling just before one of the ride’s 12 drops.
Photos show revelers walking down the narrow sides of the ride to safety, escorted by park staff.
Victoria Ryumana said she was about to go to the park with her two children when they saw the ride at a standstill.
“We saw that the ride got stuck and everyone was getting evacuated,” she said. “We decided not to go to the park. We have two little kids, and they got scared.”
