A Tennessee man allegedly shot a teenager after the 15-year-old and his buddies decided to toilet-paper their principal’s house as a prank, according to The Chattanooga Times.

Dale Bryant Farris, 65, noticed several teenagers “rolling” the Estill Springs house of Huntland School Principal Ken Bishop around midnight on Oct. 20. That’s when he allegedly walked out of his house with a shotgun and fired at least two shots at the teens, striking one in the right foot, inner left knee, right palm, right thigh and right side of his torso above the waistline, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said.

“He got peppered pretty good,” Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chris Guess told the newspaper. “The problem is they were not on (Farris’) property and they were not doing anything to his property.”

Bishop declined to press charges against the teenagers, some of whom attend his school, authorities said.

But Farris was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, the Times reported. He was released on $125,000 bond two days after his arrest and has a court date scheduled for Dec. 5.

It was not immediately clear how many teenagers were involved in the prank, or the condition of the injured teenager. A message left by FoxNews.com with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was not immediately returned Wednesday afternoon.

On the eve of Halloween, Guess had some advice for trick-or-treaters who might be inclined to stir mischief.

“Don’t do anything that would cause anybody distress or make them think you might do them harm,” he said.
