Here’s one to quack home about.
Virginia high school student Hunter Spain was told by his school to turn inside-out or remove his “Duck Dynasty” T-shirt because officials said its slogan implies the threat of violence.
WWBT 12 reports the T-shirt, recently worn by Si Robertson, one of the A&E hit show’s rambunctious personalities, has the words, “I Will Hurt You Physically and Metaphysically,” upon it.
“Duck Dynasty” follows the lives of bearded millionaires who run a duck-call business.
“If you are a ‘Duck Dynasty’ fan, you understand the meaning of the shirt,” David Clark, Dinwiddie High School’s superintendent, told WWBT.

“But if you haven’t watched ‘Duck Dynasty,’ you may question if the shirt implies violence. As a school division, we would like to keep our slogans on student shirts as non-violent as possible.”
The mother of the student in question wasn’t buying Clark’s rationale.
“For this to be considered a threat to the school, I couldn’t understand it,” Hunter’s mom, Edna-Jo Spain, told WWBT, adding her son’s grandmother gave him the controversial T-shirt as a gift.
"[This is] a lady who would not even buy my daughter ripped up jeans to wear to school," Edna-Jo Spain said. "She viewed that as inappropriate."
As for Hunter Spain, he went home and got a new T-shirt, rather than turn the ‘Duck Dynasty’ one inside-out.
“I’m not going to look stupid in front of all these young ladies in the school,” the student told WWBT. “So I decided to get a different T-shirt.”
Dinwiddie is located south of Richmond in the southeast portion of Virginia in Dinwiddie County.
