A New Jersey couple is suing their landlord because they claim their rental home is haunted, CBS New York reports.
Jose Chinchilla and his fiancée Michele Callan claim they were terrorized by eerie noises, flickering lights, slamming doors and strange pulling on their bed sheets.
The couple says they brought in a team of paranormal investigators, who confirmed "paranormal" activity inside the home.
Chinchilla and Callan claim the activity forced them to move out of the home after just a week. They are suing their landlord for their $2,250 security deposit.
However, the landlord believes the couple was more spooked by their rent, and made up the haunted house story to get out of their lease.
They are counter-suing the couple.
